Appetizer: Kawaii sausages I



Hi friends! There's the first presentation of kawaii sausages, several funny and original ways to liven up your lunch, snack and dinner. In addition, kids love them. Show your love with this easy and witty recipes with sausages! To prepare them, you can use long or short sausages. I hope you like it as much as I do ^^.



Warning: some of these forms are joined with toothpick, so if we do it for kids it would be best to replace toothpicks with bread sticks or vegetable fried sticks to minimise suffocation risks. 

Heart ingredients: sausages and toothpick/bread sticks/fried carrot sticks.


1)
Short sausages: make a diagonal cut by the half.

Long sausages: make a  diagonal cut separating the start and the end.


2) Use a piece of toothpick to hold two parts, putting it in the middle of one slice.

3)Then stab the other side and... ready to fry!

Fish ingredients: sausages and (optional) black sesame seeds (sold on herbalist).


1)Short sausages: make a straight cut not very deep, from near of the end of sausage to less than the middle part. Alongside do a diagonal cut with the same depth, forming a crescent-shape.
Long sausages: do the same but firstly cut the sausage in the middle.

2) To simulate the tail, the easier way is doing a cut in the shape of V on the end; or doing small cuts in the shape of V.

3) Do superficial cuts in the shape of grille to simulate the fish scale.

4) To form the eye, poke a toothpick in one side of the "head" and put a black sesame seed in. If we haven't got it, we can do a bigger hole.

5) Fry in a pan or heat it up in microwave and serve; you can decorate with vegetables cutted in strips to simulate that fishes are eating.


Piggy ingredients: sausages, black sesame seeds, toothpicks/bread sticks/vegetable fried sticks.

Short sausages: cut two thin slices, one in the beginning to do the snout and the other to do the ears; we cut  this last one by the half.
Long sausages: do the same but first cut the sausage by the half.

2) Do two holes in the snout using toothpicks and put black sesame seeds in. Then join it to body with a toothpick. Near the "head" part, do a straight cut and put the ears.

3) Put the eyes and the toothpicks at two sides to simulate the legs.

4) Heat up and ready to make everyone fall in love.



Rabbit ingredients: sausages and black sesame seeds.

Short sausages: make two diagonal cuts, one by the half and the other to do a thin slice that will form the ears.
Long sausages: do the same  but firstly cut it by the half.

2) Cut in the shape of V on the thin slice to do the ears. Put it in the middle of the two halfs and join all pressing with a toothpick.

3) Do the eyes and heat up.

Chick ingredients: sausages, black sesame seeds and toothpicks/bread sticks/fried vegetable sticks.

Short sausage: cut it by the half.
Long sausage: cut one slice that have a thickness of two fingers to do the body. Cut another slice that have a thickness of two fingers to do the wings.

2) Cut the second slice by the half and cut its end simulating feathers, doing little cuts in the shape of V.

3) Join the wings to the body with a toothpick.

4) Cut a fine piece of carrot in the shape of a triangle to simulate the beak and put the eyes.

5) Heat up or serve with lettuce.

Chick breaking the eggshell ingredients: sausages, black sesame seeds, carrot and egg.

1) Cut the top of the cooked egg and empty the yolk.

2) Cut the borders simulating the break eggshell.

3) Put the carrot beak and eyes in a piece of sausage that tower over the egg and put it in the egg.

4) Cover with the top of the egg and heat up.
